9th Polish Brachytherapy Society Conference
Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I have the honor to invite you to participate in the 9th Conference of the Polish Brachytherapy Society. This nationwide event takes place every two years. The PBS conference is a place where you can meet people devoted to clinical and scientific work who influence the standards of oncological management.
The conference will be held on September 19-20, 2024 at the ibis Styles hotel – Lublin Stare Miasto at Al. Solidarności 7 in Lublin. This is a place that will provide comfort for the guests both from Poland and abroad. At the same time, the hotel conference center will allow us to create a comfortable exhibition area for our sponsors.
The scientific patronage of the event will be held by: Director of the Gliwice Branch of the National Institute of Oncology. Maria Skłodowska-Curie, Prof. NIO-PIB Sławomir Blamek, MD, PhD and national consultant in the field of radiation oncology Prof. Krzysztof Składowski, MD, PhD.
The planned sessions, conducted in English and Polish, will be of a training and clinical-scientific nature. Doctors and scientists from leading centers in Poland and other European countries will present their treatment results. The sessions will be interdisciplinary.
In our country, over 12,000 patients are treated with brachytherapy every year. It is used in the treatment of prostate cancer, breast cancer, skin cancer and other oncological diseases, it has proven effectiveness and is often necessary to cure the patient. Our event will be an ideal place for the exchange of experiences between representatives of the scientific, academic and pharmaceutical-technology communities from all over the country.
